Hi Out There,
Well, the radiation thing is in its second day. Now its a one-two punch deal with radiation in the morning and chemotherapy in the evening. Has to go on for six weeks and then they'll see if I am making progress. Its not that bad an experience. However, this sort of reminds me what it was like growing up with 3 older brothers. Back then it felt so good when I was being picked on by all three of them and one of them would stop. It felt great when only two of them picked on me. With four boys in the family we pretty much drove my sister and mom crazy with our constant wrestling and fighting. Ahh, the good life.
The doctors, nurses, physicians assistants, administrators, are all very nice and there sure are a lot of them! Most of all, my wonderful wife is bearing up like a good soldier. Awfully glad I live in the US of A and especially in the great state of Texas. Thanks for all your wonderful comments. Not too sure who all of you are by the coding on the messages, but your thoughts are most welcome.
Mike

Hey Mike. I am still out of town, but will be back on Monday. I will come over with my new camera and take a picture of you in your hat. We can then post your gorgeous mug on this blog site and let everyone see how handsome you are! I sure enjoy reading your thoughts and love reading the comments from everyone! It makes me smile!
Love you -
Mona
Mr. S...
Glad your spirits are still up. Some of the kids always commented on how toxic your classes were! Now we know it was just you! (just kidding). I can't wait to see your mug shot in the hat. Is it like Clint Eastwood's hat? Indiana Jones? Beach Bum's hat? You know what they say -- Be all you can be in the Army! Or should we say Surplus Store!
Hope Christmas and New Year holidays were superb and wonderful. Keep us updated!
Mary and Brittany
Hey, Mr. Sheridan! I am just now seeing your blog site. Pretty cool! I hope you had a nice Christmas and I will come back here often to see what you have to say. And if you ever need anything else from that Army Surplus store, just lemme know. It is just down the street from my house! Looking forward to that pic....;-) Bye for now, Regina
Hi Mr. Sheridan! I love your blog. It's nice being able to see what you're up to. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Keep posting more updates! :-D
Hi Mike-
I am glad to see you blogging. You sound like a pro! Everyone at CHS is missing the "rays of sunshine" you provide to all of us in the hallways! I am excited about seeing your pict with the hat! Until then, keep blogging! Catherine E
Hi Mr. Sheridan,
Remember me, Elaine? Well, it has been a while - you were quite an amazing geometry teacher. Will never forget those theorems and postulates! Good times :-)
Glad to know that they're treating you well over there. I hope they won't pick on you too much these six weeks ;-)
Have a Happy New Year...Take it easy and keep us with updates!
Elaine Wong
Hi Mr. Sheridan!
It's Astrid from Geometry back in Branch Crossing. I still remember all those jokes we had circulating through the class. I had lots of fun in the Geometry class...
I hope you have a wonderful New Year and that you'll keep posting here on this blog. I'm glad to know that you've started blogging. Its really nice to know how my favorite math teacher is doing.
~Astrid G.
Roger that Mr. Sheridan.
It's Giovanni from Geometry back in the day, I'm so sorry that this is happening but It's nice to hear that Mr. Sheridan is still his cheery old self (well not that old...haha).
I'm glad to see that you've set up a blog and I'm even happier to see that things are going well for you.
Stay well, you've been so good to so many of us, I only wish that more people could have a teacher like you.
hope to hear more! (and maybe possibly see that mug shot...lol),
Giovanni
Hey Mr. Sheridan its Anjan from 7th grade Mathcounts. I just found out about this site recently and im glad that you are taking it so well, then again I've always seen you as an optimist through and through so I guess I couldnt have hoped for anything less.
Happy new year
Anjan
Hi Mr Sheridan!
Great to see you blogging, and to know how things are coming along.
I hope this year brings better things for you and your family. You're missed, and our prayers go out to you.
-Nathan
My young Geometer (an ardent fan of yours) told me about your blog. Looks like he posted before me. Our best wishes are with you. You are truly loved.
Marian (MathMom)
Hey Mr. Sheridan. I'm in West Houston now, otherwise known as Katy, but luckily Elaine Wong kept me posted on your condition.
Belated Happy New Years, and good luck. It's great that you have a blog and keep your fellow Mathmagicians posted on your developing condition.
P.S. I just scraped an "A" in Pre-Cal PreAP ! I was so happy that I did a dance... that kind of looked like the one you used to do in class. I didn't sing, though. :D
Good luck, and keep posting - your fans are waiting :D
P.P.S. This is Jeff Zhao. I deleted my old comment because it was ambiguous... I completely forgot to identify myself!
Hey Mr. Sheridan,
It's the long lost Nicole from back in the day. It's so great to hear from you on the computer!
I can't wait to get a chance to see your hat. Emily and I have more than one Army Surplus story of our own (just ask her about Colonel Bubbie's...long story!) With that hat you'll blend right in with your line of dead soldiers once you're back to school!
Have a great tomorrow and we'll comment you soon!
Nicole
Hey Mr. Sheridan--
Just wanted to drop a note and say hi! Bethany and my corner in 5th period are doing great. It's so awesome to see that you are up and at it! Keep us updated!
You're awesome,
James Ramos
HI THERE!! I tried to send a comment before, but I guess I did it wrong and sent an email instead. OOPS!! I really miss you across the hall, I don't have a dancing partner.....I know your new hat will make you even more dashing than you were before; can't wait to see it. Take care of yourself!!
Hi Mr. Sheridan!
It's Jeanna from your BCJH days, heh. I'm so glad you sound so good even though your body is taking a bit of a beating. Thanks for keeping us all updated!
-Jeanna Yu
Hi Mr. Sheridan!
Just here checking out your blogspot. It's very nice and funny! Well, hope you and your family had a nice holiday. Keep us informed about how you're doing, tell your wife I say hi and both of you guys take care. Hopefully we'll see you some time soon!
-Rosaura (from your 6th period calculus class)
hello Mike!! Sorry it has been so long since I checked with you. I hope you are keeping on the straight and narrow and not grasping at strange angles like I know you math people like to do. The hall is just not the same without you, but I am glad you are getting to spend time doing all those crossword puzzles. do you like those math puzzles that you have to add up across and down? What are they called....Suduko or something like that? Are you good at those or do you like them? I always wondered about that. I better go grade some papers. Looking forward to your next edition. Diane
Mike, when I was the Vice Principal at the Middle School in South Hadley, MA, YOU were our best math teacher.
More than one of the GREATEST Math Teachers I EVER met, YOU are also one of the GREATEST men I've ever met.
Without a doubt, a fine and courageous man. I am proud to call YOU a FRIEND and know in my heart that all will work out well for such a wonderful person.... YOU !
